OpenTunnel Designer works with 2 libraries for the tunnel templates and portal templates and with 1 category for shaft and rooms templates. For tunnel templates and portal templates, the first library is called Tunnel\Portal Catalog and it can be found in this default location:

C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenTunnel Designer CONNECT Edition\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_Tunnel Default Standards – Metric(Imperial)\OpenTunnel Designer\Templates Catalog.

The Catalog library is a container for the tunnel templates (dgn files) that can reside on local machine, local network or ProjectWise. The changes made to these files can be seen by all users that have access to them. The Catalog templates can be associated with organization templates, where a BIM manager will manage the information that will be available to all user from the organization.

The second library is called Tunnel\Portal Template and its saving the information in the design model (active dgn).

The Template Library is the library that resides in the design file and where only the user that works with that file can see those templates. These templates can be associated with project templates, where, starting from an organization template the user modifies that template to accommodate the changes needed for his project only. This template can be exported to the Catalog, where the BIM manager can make it available for other users from the organization.
